Following up on the previous grant, NRDC will conduct a comprehensive review of U.S. laws, regulations, and policies, as well as international treaties, to identify opportunities to strengthen or better implement provisions to reduce shark fin trafficking, and develop legal, political, and/or operational strategies to ensure the U.S. is one of the strongest links in the global supply chain, leveraging our solid legal framework and enforcement capacity to stamp out the illegal shark fin trade.
