In 2011 The Bahamas protected all species of sharks in their Exclusive Economic Zone, the first nation in the Atlantic to take such a bold step for shark conservation. Ten years on, the government now needs to assess the effect of this protection on national shark populations and human ocean users. To this end Bahamian doctoral student Candace Fields is repeating a survey of sharks conducted in 2015/16 by Global FinPrint across the archipelago.
