Protecting Sharks in the Northwest Adriatic

In the Adriatic, one of the most overfished regions of the Mediterranean, sharks and rays have been declining at an alarming rate, with fisheries measures failing to provide adequate protection for these vulnerable species.

This project will promote effective spatial management for threatened species in the Northwest Adriatic, an area identified as Important Shark and Ray Areas (ISRA).
