Participatory Management and Conservation of the Shark Sanctuary of Parda Bay

This project seeks to protect Lemon sharks and their nursery area in Baía de Parda, Cabo Verde, by sustainably managing the natural resources of the area, as well as shark-watching tourism. With a strong focus on community development and the improvement of livelihoods, the grantee will be working closely with the local communities that benefit from this tourism on the use of best practices and proper guidelines to ensure the health of the local shark populations.
