Our project goal is to reduce the trade of elasmobranchs in Honduras through a comprehensive supply chain analysis, species composition assessment, capacity building, and the development of a regulatory framework for incidental shark captures. The findings will be disseminated widely to government stakeholders via the National Shark Working Group and will foster collaboration, improved enforcement, and contribute to the long-term conservation of sharks and rays in Honduras.
